Jennifer Ann Gillins, Children's Book Author
Meet the Author
Jennifer Ann Gillins wanted to give homemade gifts to her grandchildren. Yet, she cannot knit, crochet, or paint well. So, she did what she loves to do…write. For her first written gift to her grandchildren, she published a photo story book, “Rubber Ducky and His Family”.
The next book she wrote for her grandchildren was “Bible Story Nursery Rhymes” that her son, Adam, illustrated. A compilation of true faith stories, “Everyday Miracles” followed. As the grandchildren got older she wrote children’s chapter stories, “The Summer Adventures of the Simmons Twins” and “Yellowstone Fairies”.
Family and friends encouraged Jennifer to publish her books publicly. So, along with her degree in writing from Brigham Young University, Jennifer joined Richard Paul Evans’s group, Author Ready. Rick taught Jennifer about the intricacies of writing, marketing, and publishing. She continually learns and works on her craft.
“Yellowstone Fairies” and “Acadia Fairies” Jennifer is now preparing for publication for the public.
When she’s not writing, Jennifer loves to serve her community. She’s worked and volunteered in the schools for over 30 years. Also, she volunteered for Meals-On-Wheels, at a hospital, and a library.
Jennifer and her husband, David, live in Idaho Falls, Idaho where they love to camp, hike, bike, and snowshoe. She and David have five children, and 27 wonderful grandchildren.

“If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
